What happened
On Friday, October 9, 2026, Cyprus‑based fuel retailer EKO concluded its third ‘Smile & Win’ competition at a Mercedes‑Benz showroom in Nicosia. Alexis Proestos emerged as the grand winner after successfully completing three challenges—‘Find the Symbols’, ‘EKO Knowledge’ and ‘EKO Puzzle’—designed to test knowledge, memory and skills.
The €80,100 Mercedes‑Benz GLC 300e 4M Plug‑in Hybrid was presented by EKO CEO George Gregoras in front of company executives, media and the winner’s friends and family. Contestants were selected on September 30 via the random.
org platform, with the process overseen by Latsia Deputy Mayor Kyprianos Filippou and an independent legal adviser to ensure transparency. EKO plans another high‑value prize later this year for app users who continue to engage with the Smile app.
