Airplane Etiquette Survey Reveals Americans' Annoyances and Preferences

A recent survey by YouGov, commissioned by The Points Guy, polled over 2,500 U. S. adults on airplane etiquette. The results show that noise is the most annoying behavior, with 27% of respondents citing loud conversations or passengers playing music and videos without headphones. Reclining seats without warning is also a major issue, with 21% of respondents finding it annoying. The survey also found that Americans are generally open to seat-swapping requests, with 44% saying it's not rude to ask another passenger to swap seats after boarding. When it comes to attire, Americans prioritize comfort, with 72% saying the most appropriate attire is either wearing whatever is comfortable or casual athletic and loungewear. The survey suggests that Americans want more courtesy from fellow passengers rather than more rules.
