Analogue Unveils Updated Super Nt and Mega Sg Retro Consoles
WHY IT MATTERS
The upgrades give retro gamers a cleaner design, wireless play, and improved connectivity while maintaining authentic hardware performance, enhancing the appeal of classic consoles in a modern market.
What happened
Analogue today announced the Super Nt Plus and Mega Sg Plus, updated versions of its popular retro gaming consoles. The new models feature a reworked industrial design and built‑in wireless connectivity for controllers and accessories, allowing users to connect devices without cables.
Both consoles continue to use FPGA processors to faithfully reproduce the hardware of the original Nintendo SNES and Sega Genesis, avoiding emulation entirely. While the units do not support 4K output like Analogue’s 3D line, they do include a USB‑C port for future connectivity options.
The release underscores Analogue’s commitment to preserving classic gaming experiences with modern convenience.
