WHY IT MATTERS
The BMW Championship's return to Bellerive Country Club highlights the event's continued support for the Evans Scholars Foundation, with the Pro-Am event serving as a key fundraiser for the organization.
What happened
The 20th BMW Championship has begun at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, marking the first time the event has been held at the venue since 2008.
The tournament features top 50 golfers from the PGA TOUR competing for 30 spots in the season final. A notable aspect of this year's event is the introduction of two BMW Hole-in-One cars for participants to choose from.
Additionally, Juliya Tabaka has been named the seventh BMW Hole-in-One Scholar.
