ArtCargo Festival Brings International Performances to Nicosia

The ArtCargo Performing Arts Festival is set to transform Nicosia's public spaces into a vibrant cultural hub from October 16 to 25. The festival features 43 performances by artists from nine countries, including Cyprus, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Argentina, Catalonia, and Japan. The program includes large-scale outdoor spectacles, intimate site-specific works, and collaborations with Cypriot artists, communities, and creative initiatives. Among the highlights are a new media art project featuring choreography by Panos Malactos, a contemporary circus work by OLO Company, and a spectacular tightrope performance set to live rock music. The festival also features a Youth Programme, supported by the VF Foundation, which brings 11-year-old Japanese trickline athlete Kanon Ito to Nicosia. ArtCargo's Signature Installation, commissioned with the support of Valis, will unfold over five evenings in the heart of Nicosia, exploring the idea of many people, one motion. The festival's events are free to attend, making high-quality cultural experiences accessible to all.
