What happened
On September 2, 2026, the entire crew and backup crew members of the Artemis III mission visited NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The crew, consisting of NASA astronauts Randy Bresnik, Andre Douglas, Frank Rubio, and Bob Hines, along with ESA astronaut Luca Parmitano, inspected the Vehicle Assembly Building.
They viewed the progress on solid rocket booster integration in High Bay 3. This visit marks the first time the entire crew has visited Kennedy.
The Artemis III mission aims to launch four crew members aboard the Orion spacecraft to demonstrate critical systems needed for future lunar landings, starting with Artemis IV.
