Australia Finds Roblox Still Failing Child Safety Standards

Australia’s online safety regulator, eSafety, has concluded that Roblox has not adequately addressed its child predator problem. In a series of tests conducted this year, eSafety discovered that adults could still send connection requests to children under 16, allowing direct contact that the platform’s new safety measures were meant to block. Roblox has introduced several updates to its child‑safety features, but the regulator says the changes are insufficient and the company remains non‑compliant with the Online Safety Act. The findings come as Roblox pledges further improvements, while eSafety stresses the need for stronger safeguards to protect minors on the platform.
