Blade Relaunches Semi-Private Flights Between New York and Florida
WHY IT MATTERS
The relaunch of BladeOne highlights the growing demand for semi-private flights between New York and South Florida, and the increasing competition in the market between Blade and JSX.
What happened
Blade, an urban air mobility company, is re-launching semi-private jet service between New York and South Florida. The seasonal service, called BladeOne, will operate from Westchester County Airport to Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport and President Donald J.
Trump International Airport in West Palm Beach. BladeOne flights will be operated by Aero, a private jet airline, using smaller jets and serving private terminals.
This service model is similar to JSX, but Blade is bringing a few advantages, including a more intimate seating arrangement and seamless bookings for helicopter transfers between Manhattan and HPN.
