Boeing 737 MAX 10 Completes Flight Testing, Awaits FAA Approval

What happened
After 976 test flights, Boeing's 737 MAX 10 has finished its flight testing in July. The aircraft's development was delayed due to an engine anti-icing design flaw and the need for enhanced cockpit alerting systems. Boeing expects Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approval in September or October, which will pave the way for the first deliveries in 2027.
The FAA has pushed back the certification of Boeing's 777X to early 2027 to accommodate the 737 MAX 10's testing. In contrast, the Airbus A321XLR has already begun flying with paying passengers.
