Ireland Bouncy Castle Outbreak Leaves 48 Children Infected with MRSA

A community event in Ireland turned into a nightmare when a bouncy castle was found to be contaminated with a highly resistant strain of MRSA, infecting 48 children. The outbreak occurred during a gathering with a barbecue, sweets, and multiple bouncy castles, attended by around 120 people, mostly children and teens. Within a day, some children began showing signs of infection, and 33 were treated by their regular doctor, while 15 sought emergency care. Four children were hospitalized, but all recovered.
