Erhurman called the meeting "productive" and noted it would be his last major engagement before heading to New York for the UN General Assembly. Earlier this year, the U. S.
State Department signaled it viewed Erhurman’s four‑point framework—calling for Greek Cypriot political equality, time‑limited negotiations, preservation of past agreements, and a UN‑guaranteed lifting of embargoes if Greek Cypriots return to talks—as positive.
