What happened
The Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC) marked European Statistics Day by highlighting the importance of official statistics in understanding economic and social developments. Statistics provide a clearer picture of the world, covering everyday life topics such as interest rates, card payments, and investments.
The CBC stressed that producing reliable statistics requires continuous work to meet European and international standards.
To promote statistical literacy, the bank joined forces with other statistical bodies to make data and its correct interpretation more accessible to all users.
