What happened
Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee met with senior government officials from Uzbekistan, Uruguay, Laos, Kazakhstan, and Qatar at the 11th Belt & Road Summit. Lee welcomed the delegations and exchanged views on issues of mutual concern, including trade, investment, education, and innovation.
He noted that both sides will continue discussions on bilateral agreements and work together to promote cooperation in various areas. Lee also highlighted the potential for cooperation between Hong Kong and each of the countries, including trade and investment, finance, and professional services.
The meetings were attended by various Hong Kong government officials, including secretaries and directors.
