Central Bank of Cyprus Launches Tender for Insurance Providers
WHY IT MATTERS
The CBC’s procurement process will shape the bank’s risk management framework and could influence insurance market competition and pricing in Cyprus’s financial sector.
What happened
The Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC) has issued tender 19/2026 to secure insurance coverage for its operations. The contracts will initially span three annual periods, with the CBC retaining the option to extend for an additional three years.
Evaluation will weigh quality at 70% and cost at 30%. The tender is divided into separate insurance sections, allowing bidders to submit proposals for one, several, or all sections.
Companies must first apply and provide supporting documents; successful applicants will be invited to submit initial offers, forming the basis for negotiations. Application forms and tender documents were made available online on 2 October 2026, and submissions must be sent to the CBC’s office in Nicosia by the specified deadline.
