Firefox introduces an AI‑powered Smart Window, adding a third browsing option to its Classic and Private modes. Classic remains the most customizable, offering full control over toolbars, extensions, and sync across devices. Private windows keep sessions private, deleting history, cookies, and disabling extensions unless granted. Smart Window, currently in beta in the U. S. , Canada, and France, layers an assistant on a Classic‑style interface. It can summarize pages, generate recommendations, compare information, and plan tasks using open tabs, recent browsing, and the current page. Powered by three selectable AI models and a partnership with Exa, it displays source links and visual previews of history.
