Claude Unveils Docs and Slides, Merges Chats into Unified AI Workspace

Claude has added two new productivity tools—Docs and Slides—allowing users to draft documents and build presentations inside the AI chat. The launch also consolidates Claude’s regular chat and Cowork modes into a single interface, giving every conversation instant access to the same set of AI‑powered features. With the new design, the system can infer the task at hand and pull in the appropriate Cowork or Design capabilities without a separate prompt. Users can export finished files, edit them in their preferred office suite, and share them with colleagues directly from the chat window. The update removes the need to switch between separate apps, keeping context and content in one place.
