Colombia Logistics Cluster Holds Extraordinary Meeting to Strengthen Humanitarian Response

On 11 August 2026, the Colombia Logistics Cluster convened an extraordinary meeting to outline actions aimed at improving the delivery of humanitarian assistance amid ongoing emergencies. The group reaffirmed its commitment to monitor the status of key logistics infrastructure—including airports, roads, ports, and access points—through a newly activated collaborative platform that will be fed by participating organizations. Efforts to streamline the import of humanitarian aid will continue through the IMPACCT initiative, which is working with the Colombian tax authority (DIAN) to identify facilitation measures. Organizations wishing to use the World Food Programme’s (WFP) free logistics services must now formalize or activate the relevant service agreements, and updated procedures and guides for accessing WFP storage and transport will be shared. Partners are also required to report regularly on their operations and needs to enhance inter‑institutional coordination.
