CySEC Revokes Eurotrade Investments RGB Ltd’s Investment Firm Licence
WHY IT MATTERS
The licence revocation forces Eurotrade to halt all investment services, remove regulatory references, and address customer complaints, underscoring CySEC’s enforcement of governance standards for market integrity.
What happened
On September 17, the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) withdrew the Cyprus Investment Firm licence of Eurotrade Investments RGB Ltd (authorisation number 279/15). The decision followed a board meeting on August 3 and was taken under the Investment Services and Activities and Regulated Markets Law.
CySEC cited non‑compliance with Articles 9(16) and 17(2), which require an investment firm to have at least two people effectively directing its business and to maintain proper organisational arrangements. Because Eurotrade failed to meet these conditions, its authorisation was no longer valid.
The regulator ordered the company to immediately delete all references to its licensing and to cease providing investment services. Eurotrade must also investigate and resolve all customer complaints lodged before the licence was revoked.
