Masked Men with Apparent Weapons Knock on Doors in Delaware Neighborhood

Late Friday night, cameras in Mallard Pointe, New Castle County, Delaware captured at least two masked men approaching homes on Canvasback Drive. One wore a tactical‑style vest and held what appeared to be a rifle, while a second, also in a black mask and vest, approached a front door. Residents reported the men knocking before fleeing. Police responded around 10:50 p. m. , deploying officers and a K‑9 unit to search the 1200 block and surrounding properties. Four other men were seen heading eastbound on Mallard Road—two on bicycles and two on foot. Authorities could not locate the suspects and have not confirmed whether the weapons were real firearms, suggesting they may have been airsoft‑style guns. Anyone with information or footage is urged to contact the department.
