Delta Expands Los Angeles Hub with New Philly Route and Daily Flights to Seven Cities

Delta Air Lines announced a new nonstop flight from Los Angeles International Airport to Philadelphia that will begin on June 7, 2027, using an Airbus A321neo. The carrier also revived a 19‑year‑old service to California’s Central Coast, returning to Monterey. In addition, Delta will add daily flights on seven existing LAX routes—Boston, Cincinnati, Houston, Raleigh, San Antonio, San Diego, and Seattle—starting next spring. The airline projects more than 200 daily departures at its peak next summer, marking its largest schedule yet in Los Angeles. These moves come amid Delta’s broader Southern California push, which includes new long‑haul services to Hong Kong, Melbourne, Manila, and a return to Vancouver, as well as a second Delta One lounge at LAX. Los Angeles remains one of the most competitive U. S. hubs, with Delta poised to offer the most flights of any carrier this year.
