Delta Revives Boston–Iceland Nonstop for 2027 Summer Season
WHY IT MATTERS
The new nonstop link gives Boston travelers a convenient, cost‑effective gateway to Iceland and Europe, expanding options amid growing shoulder‑season demand and intensifying competition in New England’s transatlantic market.
What happened
Delta Air Lines will re‑introduce daily nonstop service between Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Keflavík International Airport (KEF) in Iceland for the 2027 peak summer travel season. Flights will begin on April 12 and run through October 30, 2027, using a Boeing 757‑200 equipped with Premium Select recliner seats. The route, Delta’s 14th long‑haul destination from BOS, follows a 2021 launch that was discontinued in September of that year.
By extending the summer schedule into shoulder months, Delta offers travelers lower crowds and better fares. The move underscores the carrier’s push to capture Boston’s transatlantic market, where it competes closely with JetBlue and the larger U.
S. carriers.
