What happened
Delta Air Lines will begin daily nonstop service from Austin Bergstrom International Airport to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport on March 27, 2027, using the Airbus A330‑900neo. The launch makes Delta the only U.S. airline to offer a direct transatlantic route from Austin, a city already served by British Airways, KLM, and Lufthansa to London, Amsterdam, and Frankfurt respectively.
With KLM’s existing Amsterdam service, Delta and its Air France‑KLM joint‑venture partners will provide up to ten weekly nonstop flights between Austin and Europe during peak summer. The new route expands travel options for Austin residents and businesses, reducing travel time and potentially boosting tourism and commerce between Texas and Europe.
