Cloudflare Opens Source Void Platform, SDK, and CLI to Simplify Full‑Stack Development
WHY IT MATTERS
By lowering the barrier to full‑stack deployment on Cloudflare, Void empowers teams to prototype and ship internal apps quickly while maintaining strict security controls.
What happened
Cloudflare has released three open‑source products—Void Platform, Void SDK, and Void CLI—bundled in a single JavaScript package that extends the popular Vite toolchain. The platform lets teams host full‑stack applications on Cloudflare Workers for Platforms, while the SDK turns a Vite app into a Cloudflare Workers app with zero‑config infrastructure, auto‑provisioning of resources such as D1 databases, queues, and AI bindings.
The CLI provisions resources and deploys apps with a single command. Together, they enable faster prototyping, type‑safe data access from database to UI, and secure shared deployment environments for internal teams without giving each employee direct cloud access.
The open‑source code can be forked or customized to fit a company’s own deployment workflows and security policies.
