Cloudflare Launches 'Issues' Feature to Automate Production Bug Handling for Workers
WHY IT MATTERS
By automating error detection and handoff to coding agents, Issues shortens the feedback loop for developers, enabling faster fixes and reducing manual triage in production workloads.
What happened
Cloudflare has unveiled a new feature called Issues, a built‑in error monitoring system for its Workers platform. The tool automatically groups repeated exceptions, 5xx responses and error logs, and bundles the stack trace, logs, traces and Worker version into a single issue.
Once enabled, Issues can push the full diagnostic context straight to a coding agent or webhook, triggering a pre‑configured workflow that may include triage, additional data queries, or opening a pull request. The feature requires only a single line of configuration and works without installing extra SDKs, as it is embedded in the Workers runtime.
In its first day of use, Cloudflare’s Workflows team uncovered two hidden bugs—a migration retry loop and an incomplete deletion process—both resolved through automated agent intervention.
