Philippines: DILG Proposes Home Inspections for Registered Gun Owners

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has proposed conducting home inspections for registered gun owners to ensure compliance with safekeeping guidelines. Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla has suggested that police inspect the homes of registered gun owners to verify that they are storing their firearms safely. This move comes as part of efforts to strengthen gun control measures in the country.
