Ateneo Coach Louie Alas Demands Maturity from Blue Eagles
WHY IT MATTERS
Ateneo's performance is significant as it affects the team's standing in the UAAP Season 89 men's basketball tournament and its chances of advancing to the next round.
What happened
Ateneo head coach Louie Alas expressed disappointment with the team's performance, citing immaturity as a key issue. The Blue Eagles have lost three straight games, including a 80-68 loss to UST, and are now 3-4 in the standings.
Alas pointed to the team's struggles in the second half and its inability to keep games competitive late in the round. The Blue Eagles have allowed the second-most points per game in the league, with Kieffer Alas leading the team in scoring but struggling with his shooting.
Alas plans to intensify the team's preparations and make adjustments to get them back on track. The Blue Eagles will host the FEU Tamaraws on Saturday, October 24, at the Blue Eagle Gym.
