Eagles to Sign QB Joe Milton from Cowboys' Practice Squad as Jalen Hurts Deals with Blood Clot
WHY IT MATTERS
The Eagles' quarterback situation is uncertain, and the team's decision to add a quarterback from a division rival may impact their season.
What happened
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has been ruled out due to a superficial blood clot in his calf. Backup quarterback Tanner McKee will start this Sunday, and the Eagles are set to sign Joe Milton from the Dallas Cowboys' practice squad.
Milton will be added to the Eagles' 53-man roster and will potentially push rookie Cole Payton out of the backup role.
The timeline for Hurts' return remains unclear, and the Eagles' decision to add a quarterback may signal an extended absence.
