El Salvador Drought Relief: 529 Families Assisted, 671 Awaiting Cash Transfers

El Salvador’s drought early action protocol has distributed cash assistance to 529 families, with 671 families still awaiting transfers, representing 56% of the 1,200 families targeted. The distribution was coordinated with the General Directorate of Civil Protection and included community‑level census and focus group data to prioritize recipients. Cash recipients also received guidance on appropriate use. Once all transfers conclude, a Post‑Distribution Monitoring survey will be conducted 15 days later to evaluate impact and relevance. A Lessons Learned Workshop will follow to identify improvements and prepare for a potential second activation of the drought EAP.
