EPA Administrator Announces American Farmer First Policy in Iowa and Wisconsin
WHY IT MATTERS
This proposal could ensure that farmers in Iowa and across the country do not lose demand for their crops, while also unleashing American energy.
What happened
EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin recently traveled to Iowa and Wisconsin, meeting with farmers, industry leaders, and local officials to highlight the Trump EPA's efforts to support American farmers.
During his visit, Administrator Zeldin announced a proposal to reallocate 100% of additional 2025 small refinery exemption volumes under the Renewable Fuel Standard.
This move aims to keep the agency's promise to propose 100% reallocation by the end of October and further the Trump Administration's commitment to open stable markets for American farmers.
