European Union Supports Humanitarian Efforts in Central African Republic

This humanitarian effort is crucial in addressing the severe gaps in basic services, including water and sanitation, in conflict-affected communities, ultimately protecting the dignity and well-being of vulnerable populations.
What happened
The European Union has provided funding to Tearfund Netherlands to support communities in the Central African Republic's Lim-Pendé prefecture. The funding will improve access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene services, as well as support safe and inclusive learning environments for children.
Tearfund will construct and rehabilitate 17 water points, improve sanitation facilities, and promote sustainable hygiene practices.
The programme aims to reach approximately 12,000 people and strengthen community resilience.
