WHY IT MATTERS

What happened
The Hong Kong Government hosted a commendation ceremony for a recent visit to Beijing involving Hong Kong and Macao youth who participated in a 'Salute to the National Flag' event. The ceremony also launched a thematic exhibition on the 90th Anniversary of the Victory of the Red Army's Long March.
Chief Executive John Lee urged students to revisit the history of the Long March and deepen their sense of patriotism through visiting the exhibition.
The exhibition features interactive installations and oil paintings, and is open to primary and secondary students.
