Free Storytelling Sessions for Children in Nicosia
WHY IT MATTERS
This initiative promotes literacy and cultural exchange among children and their families, fostering a love for reading and storytelling in the community.
What happened
Theatro Ena in Nicosia is hosting free storytelling sessions for young audiences as part of its cultural programme. Well-known figures from various fields will read stories in the theatre's foyer on two Sundays each month at 11am. The series starts on October 11 and runs until March 28, 2027.
The first event features First Lady Philippa Karsera Christodoulides, followed by Akel General Secretary Stefanos Stefanou, researcher and author Dr Kostas Charalambides, House President Annita Demetriou, television presenter Andri Karantoni, and General Practitioner Sofia Dimopoulou. The events are free for children and accompanying adults, but reservations are required by calling Theatro Ena.
Children will also receive gifts from the Mitsides company. The programme for 2027 will be announced later.
