Cyprus Chamber of Commerce Offers Free Beekeeping Training
WHY IT MATTERS
The training initiative aims to contribute to the revitalisation of rural areas and the protection of the environment, while creating new economic opportunities for women and young people in the beekeeping sector.
What happened
The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry has announced a new cycle of free training for beekeepers in Cyprus, starting on October 17, 2026. The training, funded by the European Union's PLANBEE project, aims to improve beekeepers' knowledge and practices in sustainability, innovation, and new business opportunities.
The 16-hour programme will consist of three sessions, delivered both in person and online, covering topics such as bee pathology, hive products, and the impact of climate change. Participation is free, and participants who complete the programme will receive a certificate of attendance.
The training is part of the PLANBEE project, which aims to strengthen the beekeeping economy across the Mediterranean by promoting sustainable beekeeping, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
