Filipino F4 Champion Iñigo Anton to Compete at Sepang During F1 Bahrain Grand Prix Weekend

Iñigo Anton, the 2025 Formula 4 Southeast Asia rookie champion, will race in the Formula Trophy Malaysia at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit from October 2‑4, a support event for the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia. Sepang will host the 2026 Bahrain GP after the original Bahrain race was postponed, bringing the world’s top single‑seaters to the same track where Anton has already raced extensively. He will drive car No. 33 for Axle Sports, becoming the only Filipino on the grid. Anton, who finished third overall and won the rookie cup in 2025, has prepared with physical conditioning, simulator work and coaching from former F1 driver Alex Yoong. The event offers him a rare chance for visibility and a potential podium in front of a global audience.
