What happened
Cyprus has unveiled Digital Kin, a free, Greek‑language platform developed by the CYENS Centre of Excellence and Cyta to help seniors and people in remote areas master smartphone use. The tool offers more than 85 step‑by‑step guides covering basic phone functions, communication, internet browsing, online safety, and specific services such as the national health portal (Gesy) and digital payments via JCC Smart.
Designed for both Android and iPhone users, the tutorials use short visual sequences and can be downloaded as PDFs for offline reference.
Digital Kin also teaches users how to spot scams, create secure passwords, and protect personal data, aiming to increase digital inclusion and independent, safe participation in Cyprus’s growing online economy.
