Hong Kong Financial Secretary to Attend AIIB Annual Meeting in Doha

Financial Secretary Paul Chan will leave Hong Kong tonight for Doha to participate in the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank’s 11th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors. The conference, themed “Tomorrow's Infrastructure: Impact and Innovation,” will convene global government officials, multilateral institutions, business leaders and other stakeholders to discuss sustainable infrastructure, cross‑border connectivity, green finance, digital transformation and the AIIB’s future agenda. Chan will attend the Board’s official session, deliver a keynote on digital public infrastructure, and meet with fellow governors and international leaders. He is expected to return on the afternoon of September 29, during which Deputy Financial Secretary Michael Wong will serve as acting Financial Secretary.
