GitHub Copilot App Adds Parallel AI Agent Sessions

GitHub has added a new feature to its Copilot app that lets developers run several AI agent sessions at the same time. Each session is isolated in its own Git worktree, so tasks such as adding a feature, performing an accessibility review, or running tests can proceed in parallel without affecting one another. The app’s sessions view shows each task’s title and progress, and developers can start or pause sessions freely. Because each agent keeps its own context, switching between sessions is seamless and no re‑explanation is needed. Users can launch multiple sessions, step away, and later review the results as they finish. The feature encourages developers to experiment with parallel workflows and to test the app with two small tasks.
