Google Expands Android Find Hub to Remember Lost Items via Gemini
WHY IT MATTERS
By enabling the system to remember item locations, users can reduce reliance on external trackers, saving cost and simplifying everyday organization.
What happened
Google announced that the upcoming Android feature drop will add a new Find Hub capability that lets users ask Gemini to remember where they placed important items, such as a passport, without attaching a physical tracker.
The update, part of the month’s Android release, also introduces Motion Assist, a motion‑sickness reduction feature that overlays responsive dots on the screen.
The Find Hub enhancement will allow users to locate rarely used items by recalling their last known placement, streamlining the search process and eliminating the need for dedicated tracking devices.
