What happened
The Hong Kong Government announced a joint recruitment exercise for graduate‑grade civil servants that will run from September 12 to October 2. The exercise will fill 40 Administrative Officer (AO) posts, 100 Executive Officer II, 10 Assistant Information Officer (General), four Assistant Trade Officer II, 14 Management Services Officer II and 11 Transport Officer II positions.
Eligible applicants include permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region who meet the entry requirements, as well as university students pursuing a bachelor’s degree or equivalent who will graduate in the 2026‑27 or 2027‑28 academic years. All candidates must pass the Basic Law & National Security Law Test to be considered.
Applications are submitted online through the Civil Service Bureau’s website, with further details and the AO‑specific portal becoming available from Saturday.
