Jaguar Land Rover has unveiled the 2027 Range Rover Electric, a new battery-electric vehicle variant that joins the internal combustion and plug-in hybrid Range Rovers. The electric Range Rover is priced at $138,000, making it about half the cost of a restomod and offering 21st-century safety systems. The vehicle's design is virtually identical to other Range Rovers, with a slightly more aerodynamic front grille and aero-efficient wheels. The electric model can be distinguished by the lack of tailpipes and a flat underbody. Jaguar Land Rover has reported 80,000 hand-raisers for the electric Range Rover, with 70% from North America and 20% already owning an EV. The company aims to make the electric Range Rover a Range Rover first and an EV second.
