Escalating Hostilities in Yemen Displace Nearly 94,000 People

Rapidly escalating hostilities along Yemen's western coast and southern Taiz frontlines have led to a significant increase in displacement, with nearly 94,000 people forced to flee their homes. This represents a 135 percent increase in displacement since 8 September. Women and girls are among the most vulnerable, urgently needing health and protection support. Continued military escalations, insecurity, and impassable roads are severely constraining the humanitarian response. Reproductive health and women's protection services have been disrupted, with several health facilities and women and girls safe spaces closed. Limited safe shelter, privacy, and sanitation, along with shortages of dignity kits, are increasing protection risks. An estimated 400 displaced pregnant women require urgent comprehensive emergency obstetric and newborn care.
