Book United Flights with Aeroplan Points for Less

Travelers with transferable points and miles can book United-operated flights using Air Canada Aeroplan points, often paying fewer points than with United's MileagePlus program. Aeroplan is particularly useful for those earning American Express Membership Rewards points or Capital One miles, as both transfer to Aeroplan but not directly to United MileagePlus. When to use Aeroplan points: for short-haul flights on popular holiday dates, transatlantic United awards when Aeroplan prices favorably, and when there is a transfer bonus to Aeroplan. Bookings can be made online through Aeroplan's website, comparing prices with MileagePlus before transferring points.
