French Actress Fanny Ardant to Perform in Limassol

Renowned French actress Fanny Ardant will perform in Limassol this October, presenting the Cypriot premiere of Michael Jarrell's spoken opera, Cassandre. The performance, presented by the Cyprus International Theatre Festival, will feature Ardant alongside the Commandaria Orchestra at the Rialto Theatre. The opera, based on Christa Wolf's novel, tells the story of a woman who foresees catastrophe but is never believed. Ardant's spoken text will be accompanied by the live ensemble, with surtitles in Greek, Russian, and English. This performance marks Ardant's return to Cyprus nine years after her appearance at Paphos Castle. The event will also include an Open Talk with Ardant, moderated by independent journalist Katerina Gordeeva, and a vocal tribute to Maria Callas performed by soprano Ksenia Belolipetskaya. The performance will take place on October 2 at 8pm at the Rialto Theatre in Limassol.
