Japanese Brewer Launches ‘Wobbly’ Glass to Promote Hydration with Beer
WHY IT MATTERS
The design offers a simple, tangible way to promote safer drinking habits and address alcohol‑related health concerns.
What happened
Yoho Brewing of Nagano has introduced the Wobbly Beer Glass, a U‑shaped vessel designed by its craft label Yona Yona Ale. The glass is split into two sections—one for beer and one for water—and will tilt when the two liquids are not balanced.
The aim is to encourage drinkers to mix water with beer, reducing the risk of excessive alcohol consumption and dehydration.
The product has been available since August amid a growing focus on responsible drinking practices in Japan.
