JetBlue's BlueFirst First-Class Service Launches in December
WHY IT MATTERS
JetBlue's BlueFirst launch marks the airline's first major expansion of premium on-board service since introducing Mint business class seats over a decade ago, aiming to catch up on the premium revenue trend in the industry.
What happened
JetBlue's new first-class cabin, BlueFirst, is now available for purchase and will debut on December 8 on select flights between Boston and Florida. The cabin will feature larger seatback screens, premium dining, and priority boarding.
BlueFirst passengers will not have access to the airline's BlueHouse lounges unless they already have access through a credit card or one-time pass.
The airline plans to introduce BlueFirst on more routes in the coming months, with 39 routes slated for the premium service by the end of 2027.
