She said the show’s creators, Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld, were generally collaborative but that arguments were common. Louis‑Dreyfus recalled doubting NBC would pick up the series, but the network eventually aired the show from 1989 to 1998. Seinfeld ran nine seasons, produced 180 episodes, won the 1993 Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series, and its finale drew an estimated 76 million viewers.
