If you're a member of TSA PreCheck or Global Entry, you need to know your Known Traveler Number (KTN). This nine-digit code is your key to accessing TSA PreCheck lanes, which typically have shorter security wait times. To get a KTN, you'll need to apply for a Trusted Traveler program and go through an interview process. Once approved, you'll be assigned a KTN, which is valid for five years. To add your KTN to your travel bookings, attach it to your airline profile or enter it in the 'secure traveler' information field when filling out your personal information at checkout.
