Lebanon: Locally Led Aid Delivery Model Sustains 27,000 Beneficiaries

A refugee-led organisation in Lebanon's Bekaa Valley has successfully provided long-term support to over 27,000 beneficiaries through a structured, choice-based digital voucher and aid delivery programme. The programme, supported by Boxtribute, overcame common barriers in implementing cash and voucher assistance in a volatile context. The Free Shop Lebanon (TFS) adopted a digital voucher system, enabling faster and more transparent aid delivery. This locally led model demonstrates the potential for sustainable aid delivery in protracted crises. The partnership between TFS and Boxtribute facilitated the programme's success, showcasing the importance of collaboration in humanitarian response. The case study highlights the effectiveness of a choice-based aid delivery model in reaching a large number of beneficiaries in a challenging environment.
