McVay Says No 'Invisible Deadline' on Aaron Donald's Return

Rams head coach Sean McVay addressed growing speculation that former star defensive tackle Aaron Donald might come out of retirement. In a recent interview, McVay clarified that the team will not impose an “invisible deadline” on Donald, meaning there is no hidden timeline forcing the player to return. Instead, McVay expressed a desire that Donald make a decision “sooner than later,” indicating the organization is open to his comeback but respects his personal choice. The statement underscores the Rams’ willingness to accommodate a veteran’s timing while keeping the door open for a potential boost to the defense. As the NFL watches, Donald’s decision will shape the team’s strategy and roster planning for the coming season.
