NASA Adds Blue Origin’s New Glenn 9×4 to Launch Services Contract

NASA has incorporated Blue Origin’s New Glenn 9×4 launch vehicle into its Launch Services (NLS) II contract through an on‑ramp clause. The vehicle will be available to the Launch Services Program Office for future missions, with the NLS II contracts covering an indefinite‑delivery/indefinite‑quantity period through June 2030 and overall performance through December 2032. The on‑ramp provision allows new launch providers to compete annually and enables existing contractors to introduce new vehicles not yet on the contract. The addition supports NASA’s Human Spaceflight, Science, and Research and Technology Mission Directorates and permits launch services for other agencies such as NOAA. The program is managed from Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
